Southern Bald Ibis in a suburban area !?

I still find it difficult to grasp. The Southern Bald Ibis (Geronticus calvus) is a shy bird. It nests on the ledges of cliffs and grazes on grassland. It avoids areas with a lot of human traffic. I saw one last year in Ermelo, in the field outside our house. Through it was a never-to-be-repeated anomaly, yet, today I saw one again, in broad daylight. My only conclusion is that encroachment is forcing this gracious bird to become bolder to survive, bringing it into a suburban area in search of food. This bird is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN database.
